Tune Failed! Problem

I have a vu+ duo and a Sundtek Media Pro usb tuner. I'm running Vix 3.0 Build 808 Kernel 3.1.1 and installed the Sundtek Control Center Plugin from the plugin feeds. I set it to DVB-T and did a full scan which found all the Irish channels. But I get a "Tune Failed!" error message when I select any channel. Also the box runs really slowly after the fail until I tune back to a satellite channel.
Is it possible that the signal strength is strong enough to scan but not to watch?
Ideas?

We have a VU+ Duo here for testing, we will test it within the next 1-2 days and give you some feedback about it.
If the scan finds all the channels the tuner also has to work.
