Hi!
I downloaded a driver from
http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_installer_110207.2248.shand installed it successfully.
After plugging “Sundtek MediaTV Pro”, the command “sudo /opt/bin/mediaclient -e” doesn't show any devices. Just the text:
**** List of Media Hardware Devices ****
With lsusb I can see:
Bus 002 Device 003: ID eb1a:8185 eMPIA Technology, In
This row disappears if I unplug the MediaTV stick.
Dmesg gives the following code:
[ 2620.448031] usb 2-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
[ 2620.582943] usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
I tried this with Ubuntu 10.10 and 10.04.2 and with two different computers. In the folder /dev/ I can only see the subfolder /dev/sundtek/usb/001
I didn't find /dev/video0 nor /dev/dvb0
In Windows XP the stick shows up in Device Manager as “USB 28185 Device”. I don't know if it works or not. After 30mins the stick is pretty warm: 46’C. Is this a normal temperature?
Where did I go wrong?
I also tried all this with the latest beta driver...
