Sundtek MediaTV Pro just died ?
« am: November 14, 2010, 11:35:39 Nachmittag »
Hi

I am not quit sure, but it seems that my Sundtek MediaTV Pro just died. I use (or used) it on an 10.04 Ubuntu with tvheadend in a 24/7 setup for about 3 month. In the last few weeks I suddenly got recordings with lots of noise and the log complained about continuity problems. Today it became worse and after I installed the newest driver and a reboot I don’t get any signal anymore.

The
   /opt/bin/mediaclient –e

reports the device correct, but

   /opt/bin/mediaclient --setdtvmode=DVBC
   /opt/bin/mediaclient --signalreporting=1
   /opt/bin/mediaclient -d /dev//dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 --readsignal=[0]

says signal 0.

I then connected the stick to my xp computer an tried to test it via Transedit form DVB-Viewer. Transedit found the device but scan failed.

All the time my tv shows DVB-C content fine.

Any idea ?

Janko

Just ship back the dongle so we can test it. If it won't work we will replace it with a new one (since they just arrived today in our office).
Failure is a good thing! I'll fix it
