Sundtek SkyTV IV
« am: September 24, 2014, 06:32:55 Vormittag »
Berlin, September / October 2014

Sundtek SkyTV IV is our new DVB-S/S2 tuner stick. Within the last year we had to restructure our company (we split off a chip design house and develop everything in Berlin/Germany nowadays).
While the old tuners were using the main USB Chip of the previous USB company the new DVB-S/S2 Tuners are using brand new components from the market.

Neue Features:
* new USB chipsets are specified to support up to at least 90mbit DVB-S/S2 transponders
* new DVB-S/S2 Chipsets

* Bulk / Isochronous Support
* 15 PID hardware pid fitlers
* transponder support up to 130mbit (in order to meet the 90mbit restriction PID filters can be used, practically we have transponders up to 73 Mbit in Europe).
* 0V/13V/18V LNB Power Supply (optional AC adapter, the requirement of the AC adapter depends on the used LNB).
* Demodulation types: QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, 32APSK
* Symbolrate up to 53Msps
* Short circuit detection (which can also be checked via Software!)
- Red LED / Hardware Short Circuit protection
- Green blinking LED / additional software short circuit protection
- Permanently green / everything's okay
- LED off / Standby
* It is possible to use LNBs without AC Adapter, however this requires a low power LNB:

* 300mA max (cut off power)

* Software detection if AC Adapter is delivering power
* S-Video / Composite / Audio L,R (Line in)
* Support for remote control (interrupt based, almost no system resources are used for that)
* Supports various different architectures (ARM, Mips, PPC, SH4 / Linux, MacOSX, FreeBSD).
* partial and full standby support (if S-Video/Composite is used DVB-S/S2 will be put into standby mode)
* full standby support (all components will be put into standby mode)
- 50mA (Chip Standby + lnb voltage cut off)

* the devices are engineered in Berlin, we are able to fully support our device.
