Hi!

After installing ubuntu karmic, which will be released later this month, composite-in has stopped working properly with xawtv. The picture seems to be "double", the picture being displayed twice, partly overlapping.
This might be caused by the application, as xawtv and composite is all I use right now, I haven't tested anything else.
Is this a known prolem, and will it be fixed?

You can switch the language to english in your profile. (Profil -> Benutzerkonto -> Verwendete Sprachdatei: English)

Such an issue is not known, can you add a screenshot of it?
This might be a graphicdriver related issue (mainly xawtv - videooutput related). We do not really recommend xawtv since it causes some problems with some ATI graphiccards.

You might try tvtime for analog TV/Composite/Svideo, it uses a very good deinterlacer which improves the analog TV video quality (aside of that it also needs more CPU for deinterlacing of course).
