USB Media Pro died? or not?
« am: Juni 09, 2012, 08:23:11 Nachmittag »
I've been using my USB Media Pro with a Vu+Duo using VTI as software. This combination worked very well, especially since Openpli seems to be incompatible with this device. Even with the newest drivers it doesn't work very well. But that is not why i write this.

A couple of days ago my USB stick stopped working.
Odd thing is that the Vu+ still recognizes the stick and has it available as a tuner. It looks like the connection between the cable connector and the tuner is broken as I am able to select the channels but the signalstrength is zero

The reason I think this is because the stick is well recognized within Win7, is configurable but doesn''t find any channels.

The signal on the cable is correct as my Sony TV has no problem displaying the channel using the same cable. Also, it was working up until a few day ago and I didn't change anything (no updates e.g.).

I've tried to reinstall the software, this results in the same problem: tuner is recognized, initialized but no channels are found.

Please advise.

Best regards

Boudewijn

Contact with skype support was excellent and got the problem fixed quickly.
Two possible causes:
1: old driver in VTI (of December 2011)
2: bad usb connection

Important thing is it works now.
