DVB-S/S2 Installation
(1/1)
Sundtek:
Sundtek SkyTV Ultimate
Sundtek SkyTV Ultimate is supported from Linux 2.6.15 on (Linux systems which are around 4 years old). The driver package comes with a fully compatible Linux DVB Stack written in userspace which is also compatible with existing legacy device drivers.
The installer works with Intel/Amd x86, ARM, MIPS and PowerPC.
DVB-S/S2 can also be used to extend single tuner Dreambox settopboxes to Dual Satellite settopboxes.
Opposed to other devices our DVB-S/S2 USB devices are directly supported by the manufacturer, we have rewritten the entire Linux Multimedia Stack on application level in order to improve multimedia support for Linux.
MacOSX Support is currently in progress and aimed for end Q2/Q3 2011.

drifting:
Are there any later instructions for installing on the latest version of Ubuntu LTS, or later Kernel?
I have the USB dual tuner and the driver I believe installed properly, by following the script :- http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_netinst.sh
**** List of Media Hardware Devices ****
device 0: [ Dual S2] DVB-S/S2, REMOTE-CONTROL, DVB-S/S2
[INFO]:

But as you can see, the device is on STANDBY? And the MythTV backend I am using can see it, but is unable to tune.
Any help welcome.
Paul.
Sundtek:
Enable the logfile /opt/bin/mediaclient --loglevel=max
Check the logfile /var/log/mediasrv.log
And post some mythtv logfiles if possible, mythtv is messy but should work.
