issue with vu+ solo2 install

Hi,

I've receive my MediaTV pro stick and installed driver on my vu+ solo2 box.
It run on on a blackHole image 2.1.7.
root@vusolo2:~# uname -a
Linux vusolo2 3.13.5 #1 SMP Thu Jun 25 01:46:24 CEST 2015 mips GNU/Linux

I used sundtek_netinst.sh as root thru a ssh session. Installation looks to go fine without any error. But I cannot see any extra tuner in settings/... menu

or with somme command lines

You installed it the "generic" way, this installs the driver but won't register it for your settopbox.

I've no win or mac computer at home...I have only linux...So I cannot use the click click way.

Install the Sundtek Controlcenter and install the driver inside it, afterwards configure it inside the Controlcenter Menu.

hi,

no chance, it does not work.

during install this message is displayed:

ERROR:ld.so:object'/opt/lib/libmediaclient.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded

Install driver from controlcenter menu give the same message.
Then after that, i'm unable to configure tuner.

in /var/log/mediaclient.log

2016-01-29 20:25:15 [11937] unable to connect to driver (closing: 3 - Connection refused)

and in /var/log/mediasrv.log

No Sundtek device Detected

For some reason you did not install the driver correctly.

This installation works, maybe you had some issues with your internet connection?

After installing the driver you have to reboot the box, after that you should be able to configure it.


You might have to set up autostart there depending on your box.
I don't even think that there's any possibility to get this wrong since it's proven for years, the only bad thing that could happen is bad internet or that you aborted the installation somehow.

I install plugin as you suggest but stick still not recognized at all.

I try on a vu+ solo2 with backhole image and an openPLi image. No way.
driver version is 2016-01-26 17:13:37

I've also make test on an Ubuntu x64 and the usb stick not recognized too.

Do it need a external power suply ?

Did you try to connect it without the USB cable?

lsusb should show up 2659:XXXX (2659 is our USB Vendor ID, XXXX is the Product ID)
