Channel Mess...

Hi Sundtek,

Got a new Media TV, trying to make it work under Mint 14 (kern 3.7.0-7) in DVB-C.
Channels are found with W_Scan but with MeTV channels are not working properly.
Most of the channels don't work at all, the working ones are not showing the indicated channels.
If you record, it sometimes records ok (what you're viewing at the same time) but sometimes another channel is recorded. I suspect a mess with the standards and/or PID / service ID & else.

Any idea ?

Try to doublecheck the parameters with following command

/opt/bin/mediaclient --readsignal=0 -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0

W-Scan usually reports the correct channel parameters so it might be some issue with me-tv

That means that the frequency itself seems to be okay, so it should be some issue with me-tv and dvb-c.

Maybe you might try kaffeine.

Thks, installed the http://www.sundtek.de/support/kaffeine_oneiric_1.2.2-1ubuntu3_amd64.deb ; would you have a procedure to install the patch (am a bit lost) ?

If you installed that package no patch needed. You can just start it and scan within the UI
