slow boot of system
« am: Januar 28, 2013, 04:19:01 Nachmittag »
I have a Sundtek MediaTV MiniPCIe in my system running Fedora 17.
After installing the driver, the boot time of my computer jumps
from about 10 seconds to 120 seconds independent of
connecting/disconnecting the MediaTV to the system.
Uninstalling the driver gives again the normal boot time.

How can I solve this?

Sundtek

Try to update the driver, the driver-"starter" possibly added too many sleeps depending of how many USB devices you have on your system. It's now kicked into the background and should run through smoothly. We reproduced the longer boot in a virtual machine, since none of our systems were affected by a slow boot we did not pay attention to this.
Failure is a good thing! I'll fix it
