When I restart my MythTV box, it is necessary that the tuner is ready for operation before mythbackend starts up. Otherwise it is not possible to watch and record tv.
With other tuners it is possible to check for /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0. If it exists, mythbackend is allowed to start. But with the MediaTV this folder is always present.
Even if I wait for the command "/opt/bin/mediaclient -D DVBC" to finish and then start the mythbackend, the tuner apparently still needs more time to do it's work and the automatic start of mythbackend will fail because it cannot connect to the tuner.
Is there a command line option for mediaclient that one can use to poll the readiness of the tuner?
