Hallo,

mir wurde von Markus von Sundtek vor Jahren empfohlen eine Hardware zu verwenden, welche ausschließlich USB 2.0 hat. Der Linuxkernel hatte noch ziemliche Probleme mit USB 2.0 Geräten die am USB 3.0 Port angeschlossen waren (wenn ich mich recht erinnere).
Daraufhin habe ich meinen VDR mittlerweile auf einem Orange Pi Plus 2E betrieben, der hat kein USB 3.0.

Nun zur eigentlichen Frage: Laufen die Sundtek-Sticks mit Linux 5.x nun stabil an den USB 3.0 Ports?

Ich habe einen  [    SkyTV Ultimate 5] , einen [SkyTV Ultimate V 2016]  einen  [Sundtek MediaTV Digital Home (USB 2.0)] und eine 4TB USB 3 Festplatte.
Daher benötige ich ein Board mit mindestens 4 USB-Ports.
Ich habe da an einen ODROID-C4 gedacht, der hat 4x USB 3.0 und darauf laufen aktuelle Linux-Distros mit z.B: Kernel 5.4.

Kann mir jemand sagen, wie es sich nun mit Linux 5 und den USB2-Geräten auf den USB3-Ports verhält?

Software Sundtek Ltd. / Receiver immer ACTIVE mit VDR

Hallo Forum,

ich habe meinen VDR nun auf einem Raspberry Pi 2 laufen. Da dieser nur wenig Strom verbraucht, lasse ich ihn rund um die Uhr laufen.
Ich habe 3 Sundtek Receiver und alle 3 sind permanent aktiv solange VDR läuft.

Ist der Dauerbetrieb ein Problem für die Receiver oder ist das egal? Wie groß ist der Unterschied im Stromverbrauch zwischen ACTIVE und STANDBY ?

Scheinbar funktioniert die ganze Sache so sehr gut. Mal sehen ob sich die Eigenbau-Antenne bewehrt...   :-)

Nun habe ich eine Weile auf dem Dach verbracht und folgendes festgestellt:

Die freie Sicht zum Sendemasten ist Vergangenheit. Ich habe dann noch etwas versucht die Antenne einzustellen. Dabei habe ich auch die Radio-Antenne entfernt, die etwa 50cm über der TV-Antenne montiert war.
Jetzt habe ich zwar noch schlechtere BER, um die 3000, und die Signalstärke schwankt auch leicht, zwischen 100% und 90%, aber das Bild scheint jetzt gut zu sein. Ich habe keine Störung mehr gesehen.
Die besten Werte hab ich allerdings erreicht, indem ich ein Stück Antennenkabel (12,5 cm) geschält habe. Damit erreiche ich teilweise 100% Signalstäre und BER teilweise von 0-22-53, dann wieder 300.

Also den Raspberry Pi hab ich nur kurz zum Test verwendet, normal hab ich die Tuner an der Zbox, und habe es inzwischen übrigens auch mit einem Fujitsu Barebone versucht.

Es ist der Silberne Tuner. Siehe Foto..

Heute Nachmittag versuche ich mal die Antenne etwas zu drehen um zu sehen ob sich was verbessert.

Sundtek MediaTV Pro / Klötzchen bei HD Sender

Hallo,

ich habe immer wieder Probleme mit meinem Sundtek MediaTV Digital Home (USB 2.0).

Ich habe eine Zotac Zbox AD02 (AMD E-350), mit Debian (Linux vdr 3.16.0-4-amd64) und vdr-2.2.0.
Dies betreibe ich mit 3 Sundtek Sticks:

Die beiden SkyTV laufen super, ohne Probleme. Der MediaTV macht aber immer wieder Probleme. Besonders bei HD-Sendern habe ich massiv Klötzchen.

Im mediasrv.log habe ich folgendes gefunden:

Ich habe auch folgende Versuche unternommen:
- zwischen Iso und Bulk gewechselt
- USB-Port gewechselt
- USB3 im Bios ein/aus
- aktiven USB-Hub verwendet
- die verschiedenen Sticks an den Raspberry PI II gesteckt und über mediaclient --mount eingebunden, mal nur den DVB-T, mal die beiden anderen, mal alle 3 ...


immer das selbe Resultat... Die beiden Sat-Sticks laufen gut, der DVB-T schlecht.


Was kann ich tun ??

Die aktiven HUBs habes es auch nicht gebracht.

Ich werde mir wohl müssen einen anderen PC zulegen, der keine Probleme mit USB hat.
Könntest du mir bitte eine Tipp geben, welche Hardware dafür geeignet ist, bzw worauf ich beim Kauf achten muss? Neben den 3 Sundtek Tunern muss nur noch VDR laufen.

Und wenn ich 1 oder 2 Tuner auf einen aktiven USBhub hänge? Wie viel mA saugen die Sticks? Ich habe   USBhubs mit 1200mA.

Ja,  das klappt immer.  Das Problem scheint nur direkt beim  boot auf zu treten

Die Zbox hat das originale 19V 3,42A Netzteil.

Ja stimmt, es ist eine AD10 mit AMD E-350.

Die andere Zbox, mit der ich die selben Probleme habe, ist eine ID41 mit Intel Atom D525.


Ohne den V2 habe ich es noch nicht versucht, ist aber auch schwierig zu sagen, denn es hat ja über eine Woche mit allen 3 Tunern geklappt. Erst heute war das Problem wieder da.

Ich habe mit der anderen ZBox alle möglichen USBports versucht.
Auf dieser hier habe ich nur noch 1 freien USB2 Port.
