Conclusion of this topic is that HEVC can be used for any resolution. In this case it will work only on UNO4k/Ultimo4k/Solo4k... :-\

It also seems that server use wrong address(localhost) when using UPnP feature of VLC from another computer.
It would be useful if server can announce availability of channels from current mux when first VLC is streaming(second VLC will only be able to tune to channels of current mux) 8)

Will there be eng setup? Auto scan is too long because it will scan many pay TV.
Please give us manual option to select few interesting mux. :-\

I still try to find out why enabling network tuner in ProgDVB will cause high CPU usage. Easily can be seen that 2 threads are responsible for this:

Thanks. I will wait for next opportunity. In any case, tool will not recognize 16-APSK.
Manual tuning also can be expanded -M modulation (QPSK, 8PSK,...)

Hi,

I know this is unlikely, but some users may encounter undefined modulation in blindscan.
Read signal should display 8-PSK and 16-APSK(although real property names are PSK_8 and APSK_16).

Best part in all this is that somehow it is possible to receive such broadcasts in Tvheadend. 8)

Another small improvements include optional arguments for blindscan, readsignal, tsscan?

readsignal should use some default number of read times. It will stop without display when started without -d?

There is a drawback if you use a Y cable, the tuner will become warmer since the current is higher (it's usually no problem as long as you don't have passive LNB switches in between, and the worst thing that can happen is a thermal shutdown).

There is also drawback when using AC adapter that some weird users will also need master/slave power strip to turn it off when not used.

In same time they might already have quality ATX PSU with up to 7 years warranty. Tuner can be placed inside some 5.25" bay storage box and powered from standard 4 pin molex. There are even similar brackets for external devices.

And finally this option would help Raspberry Pi users to reduce number of (unnecessary) power supplies:
  • This 2A “laptop brick” supply outputs both 5V and 12VDC and is terminated with a 4-pin Molex connector.
