Drivers / slow boot of system

I have a Sundtek MediaTV MiniPCIe in my system running Fedora 17.
After installing the driver, the boot time of my computer jumps
from about 10 seconds to 120 seconds independent of
connecting/disconnecting the MediaTV to the system.
Uninstalling the driver gives again the normal boot time.

How can I solve this?

I use a Sundtek MediaTV MiniPCIe in my desktop running Fedora 17.
TVTime shows the correct programs when kernel 3.6.11-5.fc17.x86_64 is used.
This weekend the kernel was updated to 3.7.3-101.fc17.x86_64 en TVTime
now gives a bad synchronisation of the tv program.

What can be the problem?
