Titel: Other remote receiver disabled by Sundtek device
Beitrag von: tiburcillo am Mai 30, 2012, 01:33:50 Nachmittag
Hi Sundtek,

I have a mediaTV Pro, in combination with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, XBMC and TVheadend. I almost have everything working, but now i'm struggling with my Philips remote. It doesn't respond anymore. The Sundtek remote works, but the USB device is behind my furniture so I can't use that one. It looks like the integrated IR overwrites other devices.
Can I disable the Sundtek IR functionality? How do I get my philips MCE remote working again?

This is the output of lsusb:

yes, you can remove /opt/bin/lirc.sh for example. It modifies the lirc configuration. Normally you should install the driver with -nolirc option

Thanks for the fast reply. On which driver package can I pass this argument? The .sh installer or the .deb package.

By the way: I was able to restore my previous config by purging lirc and reïnstalling it (in case anyone runs into the same issue).
