Titel: Support for ARM based Linux targets
Beitrag von: chomsky am August 22, 2009, 09:13:26 Nachmittag
I'm planning on building a MythTV backend, based on the Marvell SheevaPlug (1.2GHz Marvell Kirkwood 6281 ARM-compatible CPU) running a Ubuntu 9.04 ARM build. I want to use your tuner in my setup (primarily for DVB-C). Do you support ARM targets? Which driver should i use?

Best regards, Rune

We got ARM work already yes, although as we just recently started to ship devices we haven't finished a build with the latest driver yet, we'll announce a downloadable driver in the drver section of this forum.

We shall have tested it till wednesday 26th August.

We do support ARM for DVB-C, DVB-T, possibly FM Radio. Analog TV depends on the actual ARM System since the bandwidth requirement is very high (170 Mbit) Some ARM Boards only make 32 Mbit.

For example we do support Texas Instruments Davinci DM644x ARM for DVB-C, DVB-T. The biggest problem with this system is the bad board support package and overall bad kernel support. We usually use to customize the driver implementation for such specific platforms.

Before trying to look into our products for ARM based systems try to attach a USB storage device, the datatransfer at least shall be 6 Megabyte per second (this is compareable with DVB-T, and SD DVB-C channels)
