Hello,
I have a NAS Synology DS413 running DSM 6.0 beta2, and i'd like to use the USB Tuner (for DVB-T) with Video Station.
The package does not work, and the linux driver doesn't want to install, and redirect to the package.
- Will there be an updated package for DSM 6 ?
- Or is this possible to force the linux driver to install ?

I think we can do that next week we just recently received a new Synology NAS.
We also need to maintain support for the older versions.

The only thing missing is the signature (which we can create by ourself) for DSM6.0 right now other than that the driver still works.

Hello,

Tuner is now recognized by the driver 0.34 with dsm6, but does not appear in Videostation.
Is there any configuration to do ?

I think Videostation does not support all device modes yet, you should try TVHeadend for now.
Please note on Synology NAS Systems the driver has to be installed (or reinstalled) after tvheadend has been installed. There are some damaged TVHeadend Packages out there, installing the driver afterwards will resolve those packaging problems.

Is this device mode planned ? this require a change on Videostation or your driver?

Can this be that your driver does not expose something in /sys/class/dvb ?
I found this on my NAS:

admin@NAS:/var/packages/VideoStation/target/bin$ ./lsdvb

                lsdvb: Simple utility to list PCI/PCIe DVB devices

ERROR: Opening /sys/class/dvb directory

Synology is fixing this issue yes (they are cooperative and acknowledged it)

We have system independent drivers that do not register in the /sys/class. We only register the units in /dev/dvb.

we'll check back with Synology within the next days.

Aside of that we're also working on our own streaming server and video recorder software:

The first testversion should be released until the end of this month, it's a long term project on our side (it will be translated to english as well of course).
