Hello,
After a couple of days running <mediasrv> I found a memory usage of 42%
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
7117 carel 20 0 495m 87m 6500 S 4 4.4 22:24.33 vdr
1498 root 18 -2 1126m 848m 15m S 0 42.0 504:10.07 mediasrv
I use vdr-1.7.10, 1 x dvb-c and 1 x dvb-s PCI cards and use latest driver version.
This usage increases very slowly...
"/var/log/mediasrv.log" doesn't show anything special.
Do I have a memory-leak here ?
Kind regards
Carel

No one seeing the same behaviour ? ::)
I rebooted a couple of times, but without luck
I also completely reinstalled driver 091109.
Thanks

What system/kernel do you use? Please retry with the latest available driver, if it still comes up like that we will check it.

Hello,
I use Debian Squeeze and "Linux 2.6.31.6 #15 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 3 13:39:16 CET 2009 i686 GNU/Linux"
I tried the new driver for a while, but unfortunately the old error "VDR: Too many open files" re-appeared...". :(
But I will try it again, after deleting the previous driver completely.
Kind regards
Carel

The next update will also take care about the memory usage. The driver did not clean up the session memory when the client disconnected.
Due the network update the clienthandling part got updated, the too many files issue will also be solved with the next update.

Thanks :)

(http://www.sundtek.com/support/empia_installer_091214.sh) version may not be the latest official version ::) but it does solve the aforementioned problems!
