Titel: 'Scan Done' - now what
Beitrag von: sdspieg am Mai 27, 2014, 08:09:47 Nachmittag
Just got my MediaTV Digital Home for my DM800HD. Installation was a breeze via the Windows tool. I then wanted to scan in the channels, which worked fine (after entering the right frequency and symbol rate for my cable provider. It nicely reads in all the services (200 in my case). The dreambox 'service scan' menu then moves from 'scan in progress' to 'scan done! 265 channels found!'. But then I get no more instructions on what to do next. When I push 'ok', it brings me back to the previous menu proposing me to 'start scan'. And when I push the 'lame' button, nothing seems to have been saved. Does anybody know what I have to do? Thanks

Which device is that exactly?

A device in the red or blue box?
Do you use a DM800 HD SE or DM 800HD only?

The one with the rounded corners by the cable connector. And it's a DM800HD.

Does the tuner show up as second tuner in the "tuner selection"?
You should do a manual search in the dreambox tuner menu, and enable the network scan.

As I said, I did. And the manual scan worked fine. It finds over 200 channels. But it then doesn't save them. Or if it does, I don't know how to select them, as they don't show up in the channels or the bouquets.

They must be there in the regular channel list when zapping through the stations. There is no special handling required.
Possibly they are mixed up with some other channels on your side.

Alternatively you might try to erase your current channel list and only scan for the DVB-C tuner.

You will also see if the tuner is in use when the LED goes on.
