Any news on the Mac OSX driver? Any beta driver to test?
Regards
-
We are still working on the Application for it, the current schedule is set for around mid february.
Maybe we will have some beta in-between then. Linux added alot unexpected extra delay to the entire project, but everything looks good so far.
The driver provides full LinuxTV (DVB v0.3/5.x, video4linux1/2) API support on MacOSX.

Another small update, our engineering team is doing some more tests with the driver on MacOSX (10.5+) now:
* DVB-C working okay
* DVB-T working okay
* AnalogTV (including audio) working okay
* FM radio working okay
* Remote control working okay
For ATSC (digital TV standard which is used in Canada and US)
* ATSC working okay
Application:
* Analog TV (including audio) working okay
* DVB-C in progress
* DVB-T in progress
* FM Radio in progress
* Remote control
For ATSC (digital TV standard which is used in Canada and US)
* ATSC working okay
further updates are expected to come up quickly.
Edit 05 Feb, added Remote, was of course working too already with the driver

Great!! Don't forget about the remote :-D
-
April and no news :(
-
The latest Linux Updates required all our resources lately. Although currently there's no further bigger change planed on the Linux driver.
For DVB-C/T:
* The transponderscan is complete now
* We are currently integrating the mpeg decoder

So, any timeline for the OSX app & driver? I think that some people bought the Gold version (maybe I was the only one???) in order to get support under all OS, but currently you are completely focused on linux development. I know your background is more used to that, but I hope we get as good support under OSX and Windows as under Linux.
Best regards,

I'm sorry to write but the MacOSX development is still in progress. While the driver is 100% ready we are fully working on the application for it now. (Currently our engineers are working on the Audio/Video synchronisation for digital TV)
The software is designed to work with Linux/Mac/FreeBSD/Solaris. In fact any improvement on the Linux side will also affect the other systems. When the software will be officially released the driver is already well tested.
Our Linux developers are now also working fulltime on the OSX Application the initial release is expected this month, we will also continue development and add further features after the first release.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Do you have a tentative release date??
-
Should I forget about this and just go for ElGato??? Anyway, thanks for your effort, but I suppose that cross-platform drivers is just utopic thinking.

This is streamed from a Mac Mini via W-Lan to a Linux PC.
We're still working alot on it, with your device you can soon use the device via the network on a remote operating system as if the device would be connected locally:
MacOSX -> Windows
MacOSX -> Linux
MacOSX -> MacOSX
WDTV Live/Sheevaplug/Dreambox/Linux -> MacOSX
WDTV Live/Sheevaplug/Dreambox/Linux -> Linux
WDTV Live/Sheevaplug/Dreambox/Linux -> Windows
Windows as a device server will be done as soon as the player is ready. We first completed the network support now we're on the player again.

Great, I'll keep the faith :-D

My montly post, asking for info... could it be possible to relase whatever and let the community take care of the development??? I mean I don't need the all the network funcionality before being able to play locally on OSX. Could you release something for make the stick usable under OSX, and then improve it as much as you want??
