Hello, I'm having problems with mplayer since sundtek_installer_110207.2248.sh, mplayer stutters and blocks and inform me about my computer is not fast enough for playing that content, also the driver makes a kworker process high on CPU (about 5%). I've tried latest version (as of 2012/03/23) and I have the same problem.
Any idea?
-
fixed it adding a buffering cache (-cache 10240) and setting the transfermode to iso.
Regards,
-
great, we always recommend some buffer for mplayer since it affects the stream detection it seems.
We also think there's some space for improvement in mplayer for that part
-
Driver is updated and includes support for some new upcoming devices.
-
I've installed the Ubuntu/Debian driver - and the software centre says it's "installed".
And yet, when I try to create a channel config for Kaffeine I get the following:
-----
output format kaffeine channels.dvb
Info: using DVB adapter auto detection.
/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 -> DVB-C "Sundtek DVB-C": specified was DVB-T -> SEARCH NEXT ONE.
main:2960: FATAL: ***** NO USEABLE DVB CARD FOUND. *****
Please check wether dvb driver is loaded and
verify that no dvb application (i.e. vdr) is running.
-----
Any ideas?
-
it says what it says...
DVB-C "Sundtek DVB-C": specified was DVB-T -> SEARCH NEXT ONE.
It found a DVB-C device while the channel file was made for DVB-T.
In order to switch the device to DVB-T run:
/opt/bin/mediaclient -DDVBT -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0

Hallo,
Habe folgendes Problem mit Kaffeine (DVB-T)und dem Parameter:
mediaclient --updaterc=0 / 1
-
Is it only me or?
I can't seam to download latest drivers from 11th November 2012:
Installer (all systems): http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_installer_development.sh (15 MByte)
I only get a small part of the file (about 82kB)
I tried a couple of weeks back with same result. Could someone fix the link/file?
Or re-share it for me?

That driver now links to the netinst driver, and the netinst driver will always download the latest version.
Please note that the german change log section really contains the latest changes for the drivers (the english section is a bit outdated - but will always get you the latest drivers at least)

-
Hallo Hero,
hatte bislang keine /etc/sundtek.conf. Sender?
Ich starte Kaffeine wie folgt:
#!/bin/bash
PATH=/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/opt/bin
# mediaclient --updaterc=1 -d /dev/mediainput0
mediaclient -D DVBT
SOLID_HAL_LEGACY=1
sudo kaffeine

Linux 2.6.38-12-generic #51-Ubuntu SMP Wed Sep 28 14:27:32 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Linux Mint 11
-
Ist denn der Empfang in Ordnung?
/opt/bin/mediaclient --readsignal=0 -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
-
Habe jetzt mal nen flachen Stick rangehängt.
frank-Desktop-Home scripte # ps ax | grep lirc
10217 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep --colour=auto lirc
-

How do you tell what version you're on? compared to what version is "the latest" as you don't seem to post version numbers...
-
/opt/bin/mediaclient --build gives you the driver build version.
-
How do I download the complete driver package so that I can make a off-line install later on.
Or store for example this version as a working one on my systems for later use?
-
http://sundtek.de/media
however it's not recommended to use the complete package since it contains drivers for all architectures (ARM/MIPS/PPC/SH4/X86-32/X86-64) which is big.
The netinstaller will only download what is needed for the local machine.

Hi!
I think it is recommended to update units in output of bandwidth check:
[2011-10-02 11:18:33] 4444160 bytes | 4340.00 KiB | 4.24 MiB transferred

Hi,
Can you check the deb file and linux netinst sh files? Looks these are infected with a Trojan virus. For deb file I am 100%, KAV block downloading of the infected file.
Also, at the end of commands in sh file I see some encrypted code which have no sense to be there. Am I wrong?
On first post netinst is advertised to have 70KB, but when I downloading it, the net inst sh file is 126 KB.
Without that code from the end of file, size of file is 66 KB, closer to mentioned 70 KB.
I assume all files on download page are compromised.
On download page http://sundtek.com/media/ I see that the download size of the netinst is said to be 112 KB, in reality is 126 KB.
In any case the advised file sizes are wrong.
Please advise, we can't download files that are infected with viruses!
-
Those files are all okay. It's a false positive of your virus scanner.
The binary code attached to the netinstaller are helper files for testing which driver can be installed (ARM, MIPS, PPC, X86, etc)
(the install script will test one by one if any of them can be started)
126KB is a static information (written into the HTML file) while the other ones are generated by the real filesystem size.
