I asked the same question on the german board - but nobody answered so far - so I'm asking a wider group of people here.
Can anybody confirm that HDTV won't work on an AMD E-350/450 based system if using the Sundtek MediaTV Pro or Home in combination with XBMCbuntu or Openelec or any other linux based OS due to the missing VDPAU acceleration ?
Thanks in advance!

Where? Must have been missed.
Although the answer won't be better, we don't know the AMD E-350/450 board.
However if you can play some regular HD video with it - then the TV Tuner won't be a problem either.

Thanks for your answer, the board is capabale of playinh HD material.
So I guess I give it a try and let you know how it goes :)
The reason for my question was that I got confused by this statement on you web shop page (http://sundtek.com/shop/Digital-TV-Sticks-oxid/Sundtek-MediaTV-Digital-Home-DVB-CT.html)
For HDTV either a fast CPU (>3 GHz) without a graphiccard which can do MPEG decoding, or starting with Intel ATOM bundled with an NVidia Graphiccard is required (eg. NVidia ION Systems are well supported)

In general there's no difference between local HD and HD via USB DVB Device.
