what's the signal statistic after you tune to those transponders? (please tune to the transponders one by one and after every tune run the readsignal command)

/opt/bin/mediaclient --readsignal=0 -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 --band universal


I do not see anything special with those transponders, so I guess it might have something to do with the LNB or the cable down the line. Another thing could be the oscillator in the LNB if that one is slightly off the tuners might not pick up the transponders. We're using a highly integrated tuner IC which has a search window of +/- ~3mhz; I know some chipsets have search windows of +/- 6mhz but when a transponder is >3mhz off the actual frequency the LNB can be considered to be defect (LNB frequency drifting). A temporary fix for this could be to add those +/- 3mhz during the tune requests (this is just one possible issue I could think about)

Are you able to double check those transponders with a different SAT installation?

I have the SkyTV Ultimate 8 USB stick connected to a Linux computer with the latest Debian distribution. The system is finding the device and I install the media client using the provided URL to download the code.

Using w_scan, the stick can only pickup the SkyNZ TV channels but not the NZ Freeview ones.

These are the 2, I am trying to pick up:

Using the same sat dish connected to a GTMedia Nova 8 satellite receiver and a PCI DVB-S card, all channels are picked up. Only with the Sundtek USB stick can not pick up all the channels. Also tried with TVHEADEND and no services are picked up at all but works with the PCI card.

Anybody with the same issue in New Zealand?

Any idea what I can do to debug this?

Wir sind noch dabei, man kann den Streamingserver/Radio auch ueber das IPTV-Simple Modul einbinden dann benoetigt man den UPnP Port zur automatischen Erkennung nicht.

Beim Installer hat sich nichts verändert, es werden also bei einer Installation lediglich die Treiber-Binaries aktualisiert.

es ist ja schon ein paar Jahre her, daß ich den Sundtek-Treiber installiert habe

Ist es sicher , den netinstaller auch bei vorhandener Installtion einfach zu starten oder sollte man vorher irgendwelche Konfigurationen in Sicerheit bringen ?

Ein Raspberry PI würde dafür ausreichen, oder aber auch ein NAS System welches viele sowieso bereits zuhause haben. Die Anforderungen sind äußerst gering.

Der MediaTV Pro III macht hier einen sehr guten Eindruck. Im Moment läuft er an meinem PC (Laptop). Aufnahmen gehen auch sehr gut. Nun schalte ich diesen PC aus Energiegründen jeweils ab, wenn ich ihn nicht benutze. Eigentlich sollte der Stick aber immer betriebsbereit sein; für Aufnahmen, wenn ich den Laptop nicht nutze, oder zu dem Moment woanders nutze.
Deshalb meine Frage: Welche Hardware-Anforderungen sollte so eine stand-alone-Maschine haben, damit sie ohne Probleme zu eingespeicherten Zeiten Aufnahmen machen kann? Format ist normalerweise nicht mehr als HD (1200x720). Welches ist das Format ("Profile"), das am wenigstens CPU verlangt? Ich vermute mal 'pass', lasse mich aber auch gerne eines besseren belehren.

Ich würde dieses 'Aufnahmezentrum' mit dem schon bestehenden Media-Server (gerbera) vereinigen und mit möglichst wenig Energieverbrauch und lüfterlos 24/7 laufen lassen.
Gibt es Erfahrungswerte, welche Hardware dafür notwendig ist, Aufnahmen problemlos durchzuführen?
