Hi,
did you compile tvheadend by yourself?
-
Hi,
No I didn't.
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin# opkg list|grep tvheadend
tvheadend - 3.4patch1-0.1 - Tvheadend is a TV streaming server for Linux supporting DVB, ATSC, IPTV, and Analog video (V4L) as input sources. Can be used as a backend to Showtime, XBMC and various other clients.
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin#
Also:
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin# /opt/bin/mediaclient -m DVBC -f 404000000 -M Q256 -S 6875000
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
Checking for lock:
. [LOCKED]
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin# /opt/bin/mediaclient --tsscan /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0
Timed out after 10 seconds
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin# /opt/bin/mediaclient -e
admin@RT-N66U:/tmp/mnt/MYPART/home/admin#
I have installed the driver using the net installer script with -admin in the end.

can you contact us via Skype-chat (sundtek) or our webchat http://chat.sundtek.de

Well, it's been a nightmare so far.. ;D
Bricked my RT-N66U trying to get DD-WRT installed. So that's gonna get RMA'd.
Switched to Rasberry Pi Model B+/OpenElec/TVHeadend, first results success!
But I understand running TVHeadend on Pi is too heavy for the Pi also had the Sundtek directly in the USB port but was getting the under-voltage Rainbow square.
So took an external powered USB HUB next hobby session but the DVB-C stick couldn't be found in XBMC anymore. :(
So went over to a Windows laptop to give it a shot with media-portal 1.9.0 Pre Release. Installed the latest Windows drivers http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_driver_windows_mtvIII_2014-04-16.zip (http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_driver_windows_mtvIII_2014-04-16.zip). Installs fine but media-portal TV server only sees type: DVB-T while I need DVB-C enabled.
Am I missing something?
Thanks again.
-
I'm running media-portal on Windows 7 Ultimate and noticed that you need to run MePo TV-Server Configuration as administrator. Both DVB-T & DVB-C Sundtek tuners are then displayed.
Anyway my local computer store gave me a new ASUS RT-N66U as they couldn't recover the one I bricked either.. ::)
Flashed latest stable Merlin again. Will install entware again and come back here for help when I find the time as it should be possible to get it running with this setup and I really want to find out how well this HW combo will perform. 8)

Hello all,
Who can help me.
I install the sundtek on my asus rt-n66u but I have some problems.
What I did:
$ wget http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_netinst.sh
$ chmod 755 sundtek_netinst.sh
$ ./sundtek_netinst.sh admin
mediaclient --enablenetwork=on
now it works on my asus router, I can use my dreambox to connect it.
BUT the problem is, when I close my terminal session from my mac true my asus router the mediaclient stop and my dreambox don't have the connection true the stick.
When I do again the complete process it works again, tail I close my ssh connection from the asus and it stops.
-
did you solve your problem?
-
Hello,
No I did not.
It is running when I leave my ssh connection open with my mac, but when I exit my session than it stops also the dvb-c stick.
But when my terminal is open, than it works very good.
Regards,
Michel

(http://sundtek.de/images/Merlin_Run_CMD_small.png) (http://sundtek.de/images/Merlin_Run_CMD.png)
how about this one?
Run the driver from the Merlin Firmware menu?
eg. if the driver is installed in /tmp/opt/bin
you can run it like this:
/tmp/opt/bin/mediasrv -d
-d will kick it into the background.
or this one if you are using dd-wrt:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Startup_Scripts
-
Hello,
Unfurttenly it not works
This is what I do:
Login with ssh on my asus router.
> wget http://www.sundtek.de/media/sundtek_netinst.sh
> chmod 755 sundtek_netinst.sh
> ./sundtek_netinst.sh -admin
> mediaclient --enablenetwork=on &
Now my box have the connection with the stick.
When exit the ssh connection with the asus router, the box stops no screen any more from the dvb-c stick
I also try the first steps again and after that this command:
> /tmp/opt/bin/mediasrv -d
When exit the ssh connection with the asus router, the box stops no screen any more from the dvc-c stick
it works only when I do all first steps, without exit the console with my asus router ( ssh).
In your screenshot I see run cmd but on my asus router I don't have but you have also the merlin firmware in it.
