Deinterlacing
« Antwort #15 am: Oktober 23, 2012, 10:43:40 Vormittag »
I have the DVB-C/T Media TV stick (running on Ubuntu 12.04, TVheadend 3.0) and I can't get rid of the interlacing.

I tried:

opt/bin/mediaclient -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 --vfilter=on
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
Setting videofilter to: on

/opt/bin/mediaclient -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 --vfilter=on
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
Setting videofilter to: on

/opt/bin/mediaclient -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 --vfilter=on
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0
Setting videofilter to: on

But I still have major interlacing, but strangely not on all channels. Some are fine, others look like this:

Any idea what else I can do?

--vfilter deinterlacing is only for AnalogTV, not for digital TV.

For Digital TV you must choose an application which can do deinterlacing of the MPEG Stream.
I guess you might use VLC for this, VLC should have some options in the menu for doing that.
Failure is a good thing! I'll fix it

I see. Thank you very much for the hint.

I works in xbmc, where I can adjust the deinterlace, as well as when I use a direct link to play in vlc player, but i doesn't work in the firefox plugin of vlc.

Any idea how one can set the vlc window in tvheadend to apply deinterlace?

Link: VDR Portal

unfortunately in German, but maybe that one solves your problem? Just enable permanent deinterlacing.

Zitat von: Sundtek
$ /opt/bin/mediaclient -m DVBT -f 506000000 -b 8
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
Checking for lock:
. [LOCKED]
$ mplayer /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0
oder
$ cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 | mplayer -cache 10240 -
DVB-C
$ /opt/bin/mediaclient -m DVBC -f 113000000 -S 6900000 -M Q64
Using device: /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
Checking for lock:
. [LOCKED]
one improvement could be accepting also 113 and 6900?

Option requires an argument
« Antwort #21 am: März 13, 2016, 06:53:54 Nachmittag »
Thanks. That was only quote, but my intention was also to apply it for DVB-S?

Another small improvements include optional arguments for blindscan, readsignal, tsscan?

readsignal should use some default number of read times. It will stop without display when started without -d?

Hi! Any improvements of output on blindscan and readsignal?
TAB can be used to avoid misaligned text with 4 digit SR?
Scanning HL
MODE    FREQUENCY(MHz) SYMBOL_RATE MODULATION POL TONE
DVB-S 10962 4249 QPSK H OFF
DVB-S2 10980 27500 8PSK H OFF
vs current:

Succeeded! This device supports Hardware Blindscan
Scanning 13V Lowband
MODE: DVB-S  FREQUENCY(MHz): 10718 SYMBOL_RATE: 27500 MODULATION: QPSK VOLTAGE: 13V TONE: OFF
Readsignal should use default 0 adapter/frontend when -d is not specified.
