Dear All,

 Have recently a Vu + Dou with a USB cable from Sundtek. But have the following problem:

 If I switch between Cable and Satellite and different to do I got my Vu + Dou image I have to reboot. My Vu + Dou working on what the VIX Sundtek I was not going to Openpli, VIX now use CCcam. Who can help me, Thank you so much already.

It's a little bit difficult to support VU+ at this point different images use different VU+ drivers with different features.

We shipped several DVB-S/S2 devices to the VIX team, please send the problem report to the VIX Forum.

Is there some command which i can use to check version of my sundtek drivers?
or how i can be sure that stick firmware is updated?

Once you install the latest drivers it will update everything automatically.

Although for checking the Version on settopboxes you can run /opt/bin/mediaclient --build for Dreamboxes /usr/sundtek/mediaclient --build  (this will give you the date of the driver release)

Hi,

I have a VU+ Duo box with Sundtek MediaTV (early 2011). It has quite never worked perfectly. I quite only watch satellite channels instead of DVB-T ones (Finland), so I haven't payed that much attention until recently.

I had installed the latest Blackhole image and latest Sundtek drivers. It took about 5 minutes after boot before the picture would either stop or play a 1s loop. If one tries to change channels is says PAT not found (if I recall correctly). Enigma reboot does not help.

I now changed back to original images and thought it would help as suggested in some thread. Now the frequency is days or weeks instead of minutes.

What should I do, I'm getting quite frustrated.

You might try to contact our support via skype chat "sundtek" in order to check what's going on on your side.

Maybe setting the devicemode to bulk by running following command:

/opt/bin/mediaclient --dtvtransfermode=bulk -d /dev/dvb/adapter1/frontend0

might help. However it's a little bit difficult to identify without having direct contact with you.

alternatively you might try: http://chat.sundtek.de (depending on the time you might also get some support there).

What this command will really do?
If I'll give this command will it last after reboot also?

I changed Vu+ DUO image from BlackHole 1.7.8 to OpenVIX (Newest build) and I see this same issues what flc has seen. There wasn´t this kind of issue with BH it do work like a charm. So what to do, is there working workaround?

Problem starts maybe after one day. Reboots help to get clear picture again for a while.


I do have 2x Sundtek Pro. First one is used for C-channels and second for T-channels, both sticks are connected to active USB hub.

I have used 13.11 drivers with BH and OpenVIX.

If it works with one image but not with another one the bug will be in the image of the box and not on our side. Maybe try to swap the VU+ drivers from BH to your new system, they are in /lib/modules

Thanks. Looks like BH did have modules from 20120820 (not 100% sure about this) and VIX has drivers 20121025.
I´ll give a try.

But how about that --dtvtransfermode=bulk?
If driver change do not give help, this can give?

dtvtransfermode is obsolete within the last driver versions.

I am running open pli 3.0 (2012-11-12), sundtek drivers 121027.112338 (I experienced some problems with later drivers, didn't test the newest ones), oscam-experimental. I have two usb dvb-c tuners connected to two rear usb ports without any hub and everything works ok. Finally!!!

How i can install older drivers?  
If i'll try that one first or try latest ones from you.. If there has anything changed to VU+ from 13.11 to 27.11?
