Unable get channels using kaffeine
« am: März 12, 2010, 11:39:22 Nachmittag »
The device and driver seems to be loaded successfully on my fedora 12 system. Also kaffeine detects the device, but when searching for channels it outputs the following messages:
Zitat
kaffeine(31563) DvbDevice::frontendEvent: tuning failed
kaffeine(31563) DvbDevice::frontendEvent: tuning failed
kaffeine(31563) DvbDevice::frontendEvent: tuning failed

Actually no channel will be found, only some phantoms named like : "#0 514:514". When plug in the usb device, dmesg outputs:

Seems like you are experiencing USB port or hardware issues, how is the device connected to your PC?

there are PCs with front USB and USB in the back, front USB is sometimes done using bad cables (but good enough for lower speed/power USB).

Can you try a different USB Port or maybe a different PC to ensure that the device is ok?
Failure is a good thing! I'll fix it
