With this driver I still have problems to use kaffeine (I already posted about it in a response to the driver version from February 11). As soon as I try to watch Digital TV (DVB-C) or press the button to scan for channels, kaffeine hangs and does not react any more until I kill it. With the driver version from January 25 everything works just fine.

I am using Ubuntu 09.10 with kaffeine version 1.0~pre3-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1. The strange thing is that me-tv and gmplayer are working fine with the new version. However, these two are not nearly as comfortable as kaffeine.

I'm a bit frustrated as I bought the rather expensive sundtek stick because of its good linux support and now it is again a permanent hassle.

Are you using KUbuntu? This issue is actually not known to us. A recent test also just worked fine for us:

1. What Ubuntu do you use (Kubuntu, Gnome, 32bit, 64bit, ..)?
2. Is something else running in the background? (eg. vdr)
3. What does /opt/bin/mediaclient --lc show up during a scan? (this might show up if another application is running)

You can also try to sort out your issue with our support (Skype "sundtek")

It turned out to be a problem with the new kaffeine version.
I am using kubuntu but I have the newest version of kde installed from "ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports". With the kaffeine version 1.0~pre2-0ubuntu1 from the standard kubuntu repository everything works fine. As soon as I install the newer version 1.0~pre3-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1 kaffeine hangs if I want to watch TV as described above. I am not sure if this is a general problem of the newer kaffeine version or just of this package. I apologize for my frustrated comments above. It is my fault if I am using bleeding edge software. Thanks for your help.

We will test the latest kaffeine version. If any problems come up please always give us further details about which system and which software versions you use.
Thank you.

Kaffeine is fixed with a newer driver release (we added a workaround for a bug in Kaffeine).
