The win8 driver is available, we just released it today (after fixing some win7 compatibility issues after porting it to win8).
Failure is a good thing! I'll fix it

Sorry with Oscam we cannot help you since there's no license available for the software decrypting functionality (PayTV providers are looking close at manufacturers to not support those things).

So I haven't tested out the windows drivers jet.

I installed windows media center and that's how far I got with that before I had to go to my cabin with the family.

However, I did install the latest tvheadend on a laptop with ubuntu on it. The same continuity errors appeared with flickering and so on there also.

Im starting to suspect this is the one tuner just beeing faulty. I feel like I've ruled everything else out at this point.

It will be interesting to see if the other two tuners works out of the box, I certainly hope so. Or I must've messed up pretty bad somewhere along the line for sure.

Will keep in touch when they arrive after the holidays, happy easter everyone  :D

It seems I can't let this go, I found the latest tvheadend repository for synology here.
http://syno.dierkse.nl/

HTS Tvheadend 3.9.542

Installs alright after i uninstall the previous package of tvheadend but the sundtek tuner doesn't show up in tvheadend in the newest version.
Even tried to uninstall and installing the sundtek driver to no avail.
Even tried the old way that now tells me to use the synology web installer.

./sundtek_netinst.sh
Busybox installation

Please use the synology web-installer

http://sundtek.de/synology

I'm going to need the newer version of tvheadend anyways, it handles merging of channels and what-not much better.
(Speaking from experience on ubuntu, everything just fixed itself by pushing map channels there.)

Hope you guys could look into this, my synology ds1812+ is at your disposal if needed for testing purposes.
(It seems to me that hdhomerun works with this already, the drivers is added in that repository also. But I'd prefer to use your tuners, if you get them working with the latest tvheadend and synology.)

Are you sure the tuner is properly attached? We tested the Synology installer here and did not see any issues with it. At least the tuner should be detected without any problem with tvheadend.

Contact us via skype (sundtek) again if you would like us to doublecheck directly on your NAS.

We just want to avoid that anyone will use the netinstaller on those NAS Systems since the packages we created just integrate the drivers into the existing application infrastructure of those NAS systems. Basically the native package will use the netinstaller with some extra parameters.

Yes, the tuner is properly attatched.

I will contact you on skype later today or tomorrow when easter is over.

What is the version of tvheadend you've tried? It does show up in version 3.4.

But im talking about 3.9.542, have you tried that? Nothing shows up under tv adapters there.
(The earlier counter continuity errors are now gone, on that version setup with a really old laptop and ubuntu on it.)

Ah, 3.9.542 might still need some adaption. Ok so the continuity errors are not really related to us.

You can contact us today those small things we can do any time.

Hello,

I install Sundtek DVB-C on my Synology nas.
I put network enabled and my dreambox can connect it and this works okay.

Now I install TVheadend but it does not see the DVB-C tuner.
I stopped the tuner, start it again no success.

Do I need to switch off network enable?
And can I still use my dreambox to connect true it or what good be the reason that TVheadend does not see the DVB-C stick.

I did not reboot the NAS yet.

Thanks for your advice.

Regards,
Michel

you need to reinstall the driver after you installed tvheadend.

1. Intall tvheadend
2. install the driver (there are some bad tvheadend packages out there, if you install the driver afterwards the driver installer will try to fix those packages).

then have a look at tvheadend. If you still have problems let us know.
